A redevelopment program — marketed by the misleading term “Cemetery Renewal” — is ongoing at Karrakatta Cemetery, the largest cemetery in Western Australia. The government agency responsible, the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, claims that redevelopment is “dignified” and “respectful” — but we think these photos prove otherwise.
